Why is this a memorial church? Who, or which Stevenson does it refer to? Is it in the Kelvin area? Is it what it's called? I mean the part of Glasgow with all those 'Kelvin's in the name.
The Kelvin is the river that runs through the West End of Glasgow, where I live. This particular church sits upon the banks of the river. Viewed from the river, some hundred or so feet down, it's a quite majestic building. I don't know who the Stevenson part is named after, though I assume the church is built in memorial of him.

Thanks.
Then, there is no particular name for the area around River Kelvin, is there?
Kelvinside, North Kelvinside and Kelvindale....Further north, outside Glasgow where the river originates, the region has been known as Strathkelvin.
Thanks again - you know, I'm just gathering information, but to what use is sort of uncertain at the moment.
